Kickstarters for August 2 - Electric Boogaloo
Midlam miniatures do great kickstarters. High quality metal minis made in the UK. This one is a set of eight villagers and eight witches. You can pledge from £3 to £84 and get 1 to 32 miniatures. I have backed this one and three of their previous Kickstarters and have never been disappointed. I cannot wait to get my hands on these and paint them.
Wallhalla: Modular Miniature Display Shelves
For all you 3D printing enthusiasts who need better miniature storage these look incredible. They come in either Dungeon stone or science-fiction designs. You can choose one or both and you'll get all of the files needed to display your miniatures with pride! Starting at $15 for one style up to $150 for everything plus stretch goals and a sellers license. I've been looking for a better way to display my miniatures than DVD shelving units from Argos, I hope this is what I've been looking for.
DesktopHero
DesktopHero is a piece of software that you can design miniatures in for 3D printing. If you have used HeroForge you'll know what this is about however you'll also know the expense of using it for home printing. With DesktopHero you can select a gender, race, weaponry, clothes and the pose the figure is in. The software also allows you to customise items and poses if the pre-set ones are not to your liking. There are three different themed packs: fantasy, sci-fi and Modern. I've backed this and full disclosure: if you back this using the link above I'll get some free miniatures which I'll giveaway on the OCDM instagram feed.
