Arcana Note

The Arcana Note is a binder designed for a DM or PC and was overwhelmingly backed on Kickstarter in 2017. 1041 people backed it as it would have everything you need to to play or run a D&D game in one place. 

I backed this myself and it was supposed to be delivered in January 2018, it arrived at the beginning of May 2018! I had to pay unexpected import taxes which added insult to injury. The communication from them was a little lacking and when they explained the situation it felt like they were taking no active steps to speed up the process just that there was high demand and the small team they had were going as fast as they could. Just a hint if you are going to run a Kickstarter and get higher than expected demand then hire more people to cover the demand! 

Now I've got the negatives out of the way let's take a look at the product!

The A5 leather binder comes in a handy travel bag with a matching leather pencil/dice case. Felt versions are going to be available for you vegetarians and vegans out there in the future! Storage on the inside and rear covers for the collapsible dice tray and travel sized DM screen replete with helpful rules on the reverse. 

The inside has two full character sheets on high quality paper, cheat sheets for rules, dotted paper, dividers, a resealable bag for small items, a ruler, initiative tents, condition cards and DM sheets for NPCs. This thing is jam packed with all the stuff you will need to play D&D, it's amazing! Everything fits in the A5 - 6 ring binder or in the secure front and back pouches. 

Another great feature is the card system. There are preprinted spell and item cards to fill in and the plastic wallets to store them with your character. 

The binder comes with loads of the spell and item cards so you won't have to worry about running out. There are also some wipe clean playing card sized character sheets. These seem a little redundant to me as the Arcana Note itself is small portable and easy to use

All in all, this is an incredibly well thought out design that hasn't skimped on quality. At $59 it is worth every penny.
